WHAT DOES WHISTLEBLOWING / REPORTING MEAN?

Whistleblowing means the spontaneous revelation by an individual, called a “Whistleblower”, of an offence committed within the company, which he/she has witnessed in the course of his/her activities. Such disclosure takes the form of a “Report,” to be made and handled in accordance with current regulations (Legislative Decree 24/2023 implementing EU Directive 2109/1937). The purpose of the regulations is to counter and prosecute unlawful episodes, implementing channels aimed at bringing them to light and, at the same time, protecting the person of the Whistleblower.
